e number nine toward the crowd of eager DeBordieu Club members waiting to tee off. It was a great moment! You won’t hear the bagpipes today, but here’s what you can expect from hole #9:
“The Dyes require that you finish the first half of the course with a blind drive on this tricky par five. Knock your ball up onto the hill rising 13 feet from the lake level. Stay toward the right, away from a long finger of lake that runs along the left. Where it ends, a thick natural area begins. Keep your approach shot straight, for the left is guarded by mounds and pot bunkers, with bunkers on the right and behind the green.”
