DeBordieu Golf Course to Celebrate 25th Anniversary 
I can still remember the sound of bagpipes wafting down the 9th fairway the day we opened the golf course at DeBordieu in 1987. It was magically beautiful then, just as it is today, 25 years later.

DeBordieu Club Members will celebrate with an Opening Day Tournament on March 17, followed by the 25th Anniversary Party at the Clubhouse.

DeBordieu Club features a championship 18-Hole golf course designed by Pete and P.B. Dye. Noted as one of the Dye's favorite designs, the links style course at DeBordieu has been consistently ranked among the top 10 private clubs in South Carolina.

Located just north of Charleston, South Carolina in the Pawleys Island area, the golf course at DeBordieu is an outstanding mix of Pete Dye's design qualities set in the beauty of the South Carolina Low Country and surrounded by an abundance of natural wildlife.


Since its opening 25 years ago, DeBordieu Club has been host to many regional championships including the Carolinas Mid-Amateur, the South Carolina Women's Amateur and the Carolinas Senior Amateur. On Saturday, March 10, DeBordieu will be the site of the NCAA General Hackler Invitational, a 15 team Men’s collegiate event hosted by Coastal Carolina University.

The highly regarded links course plays to more than 7,000 yards from the championship tees, and offers a set of tees to provide enjoyable golf for players of all abilities. The greens are planted in bent grass, the fairways are Bermuda, and the rough is Paspalum, which has been providing an interested round of golf for DeBordieu Club Members and their guests for 25 years!
