“Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood”
Welcome to Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood!
DeBordieu Colony, just south of Pawleys Island, SC, is the setting for some of the most beautiful homes in the Lowcountry. Over the past 20 years, about 175 of those homes have either been designed or remodeled under the watchful eye of Wayne Rogers of Catalyst Architects.
Sound familiar?…it should!
Catalyst’s successful body of work has garnered awards from the local chapter of THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS, the HISTORIC COLUMBIA FOUNDATION, and WOLF SUB-ZERO. Some of Wayne’s designs have been featured in publications such as COASTAL LIVING, CUSTOM HOME, SOUTH CAROLINA HOMES AND GARDENS magazines, and “DREAM HOMES OF THE CAROLINAS”.
We’re fortunate to have a number of Wayne’s designs available for purchase at DeBordieu. Click on any of these pictures and you will be linked to information about the home on the DeBordieu Website.
Founded in 1988, Catalyst has attracted clients from across the United States and Europe. With the goal of creating lasting places, each project is approached as a thoughtful blending of the client’s personality and memory with the project’s context and setting

The firm’s experience in designing buildings in a challenging coastal environment has created an expertise in design methods and materials which combine traditional craft with ‘state of the art’ techniques. The greatest measures of the firm’s success are its satisfied clients, repeat work, and numerous referrals.

For information about any of the homes featured here, give me a call or email. I will also be delighted to pass along Wayne’s contact information so that he can build your dream home in DeBordieu, a.k.a.”Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.”
There has never been a better time to purchase property at DeBordieu!

Happy Independence Day!
A good time was had by all at the DeBordieu 4th of July parade and carnival! I’ll be posting more pictures in the next few days, but here’s a few to get started. The morning’s festivities culminated with the patriotic “Salute from the Shore” when everybody lined the beach to wave at the big C-17 jet that flew over the coast of South Carolina from Myrtle Beach to Hilton Head. Click here to see the video. For ALL the pictures, visit my Facebook Page, Troi Paris Kaz.

There truly is no better place to celebrate the 4th than at DeBordieu!

Happy Fourth of July!
“Stars and Sea Turtles Forever” is the theme of DeBordieu Club’s tee shirt commemorating the annual 4th of July Extravaganza at DeBordieu!
Festivities start on the 3rd with the All American Cookout at the Blue Heron Grill at the oceanfront Beach Club, and then the dinner buffet and BINGO tonight!
The DeBordieu 4th of July parade lineup begins at 9, with the parade commencing at 10. The Carnival, complete with rock climbing wall and inflatables is at the Rec Center. Fireworks start at 9 at the DeBordieu Golf Clubhouse. I’ll be posting pictures Sunday afternoon and Monday, so come back and visit to take a peek at the fun and festivities!
There isn’t a better place to celebrate the 4th of July, than DeBordieu!
On a personal note, I’ll be taking a break from the DeBordieu festivities to take in the patriotic performance of the Indigo Choral Society at the Kaminski House Lawn in Georgetown at 7pm. My composer son, Joey, will be premiering one of his compositions there! I just love it when he does that!
