Residents of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and particularly DeBordieu, are so excited to welcome the new Lowes food store on the south end. If you live in the private, ocean front community just south of Pawleys Island, high quality grocery shopping will now be a BREEZE, and just 5 miles from the gate!

Jeff and I paid Lowe’s  a little visit one day last week, signed up for an account, took the tour, and even bought some groceries!

They have a full calendar of June events and special guests scheduled from local chefs teaching cooking classes to farmers, local wineries and homegrown small businesses sampling their very best at the community table.

Of course, Jeff’s favorite department was the Pick and Prep Produce! You can pick any fresh produce and they’ll slice and dice it while you shop! 

 The sausage works department was very cool a feature with locally made sausages in an unbelievable amount of flavors. We tried “the Greek God.” It was GOOD!

What really cracked me up about our visit to Lowe’s was the Chicken Kitchen…. employees came out and did the “chicken dance” in the middle of the store. (I wish I had gotten that on tape.) The Chicken Kitchen has all kinds of food to go but specializes in fried chicken and fixin’s.

My favorite thing in the new Lowes in Pawleys Island? … the salad bar!

Yes…. I have a feeling the new Lowes in Pawleys might just be a regular stop for this DeBordieu Real Estate Agent.
