Straighten Up and Fly Right!
DeBordieu's #7
What I love about number 7 is that you can hear the ocean from the green! Avid golfers love it because it's a great opportunity to hit it looooooong and straight!
"Number seven doglegs slightly to the right and will be a favorite of the big hitters. Choose your straightest long-distance club and have at it, but be aware that the fairway landing area is flanked on both sides by natural rough, from which you will face a very difficult second shot. Even so, try to keep your drive toward the left, where you will have a clear approach to the large green. The green is ensleeved in a large bunker that begins on the left and winds behind. Three deep pot bunkers lie in the right rear, while another long trap is found on the right front. A solid fairway wood will be your best approach shot."
There are a couple of great lots with high elevations for sale on number 7. What this means is that you won't have to build high off the ground unless you just want the great view. If you choose, you can build close to the ground....or, you can just move right into this spectacular 5BR home. Click the picture for details.

"With SIX you get eggroll!"
DeBordieu's Golf Hole #6
"The longest hole at DeBordieu is a double dogleg that first snakes to the right and then winds left. Off the tees to the left is a big lake, so don’t hook it. Immediately after the first turn, you will see a huge, sprawling natural area to the left, made up of coquina sand. You would do well to avoid this by aiming your second shot right up the middle of the fairway. The green, which should now be in sight, is locked up tighter than Fort Knox. A lake begins where the natural area ends and winds around the back. The right of the green is protected by a giant, free-form grass bunker, while a perilous pot bunker sits immediately on the front left."
There are currently two beautiful homesites for sale bordering DeBordieu's Hole Number Six: Lot #3 listed at $200,000, and Lot #5, listed at $395,000. (And yes, if you purchase one of these lots, I WILL get you an eggroll!)

Gim'me Five!
DeBordieu Golf Hole #5 - par 4
(I've lost a few balls on this one too.)
"Number five offers golfers a bird’s eye view of fairways, lakes and greens from the tee, situation atop a huge knoll nearly 20 feet high. Here you must hit your drive into a fairly narrow landing area flanked on both sides by pines and oaks. Avoid the pot bunkers on the fairway’s left. Your second shot requires surgical precision, for the green is bulk-headed up against a lake on the right, which you must cross to get home. Should you choose to play it safe and aim for the bail-out area to the front left, you may pay the price if your ball lands in one of the three bunkers nearby".
There are two properties available on Hole Number 5. Lot #68 has been recently reduced to $269,000! The other is a spectacular home at 20 Brandon Way. Click on the pictures for details.
Please give me a call at 843-455-4523, or email TroiKaz@DeBordieu.com if you would like to consider these or any other property in this very special oceanfront community just south of Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

My Favorite!
DeBordieu Golf Hole #4
Way back when I was the golfer in our family, (my how times have changed), this was my favorite DeBordieu Golf Hole! Three reasons: (1) I love par threes, (2) this one is really fun, and (3) it's just gorgeous! The only down side I remember is the number of balls I lost on this one. Here's the write up from DeBordieu Club's Hole by Hole description:
"This, the quintessential par three water hole, rivals Pete Dye’s famous 17th at the TPC for beauty and challenge. Standing on the tee, you will see nothing between you and the green but a sparkling lake. Choose a lofted club for task—you have very few options other than hitting the green in one. Huge mounds with pot bunkers lie in wait behind the green, while a trap on the left will gobble up the errant draw. For obvious reasons, do not be short."
Currently, there is one really nice homeite for sale on #4, click on the picture for information about it. Then call me at 843-455-4523 and let's go take a look.
